“Thank you again for this opportunity. I'm incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to attend the 2025 AAPA Convention through the support of the Alice Chang Scholarship. This experience allowed me to connect with a diverse and inspiring group of clinicians and students, enriching my learning far beyond the classroom. I’ve formed meaningful, lasting connections and am excited to stay involved in future AAPA initiatives. I’m looking forward to bringing the insights and inspiration I've gained back into classroom conversations and using them to better support my local community.”

“The sponsorship award, provided through the Arizona Psychological Foundation and the Dr. Alice Chang Legacy, allowed me to participate in culturally grounded programming focused on psychological well-being and health equity within Asian American communities. I remained in Denver for three days and two nights. The conference facilitated meaningful professional engagement and provided opportunities for research exchange, cultural dialogue, and leadership networking…These connections significantly enriched my conference experience and underscored the collaborative efforts within our field to address cultural responsiveness in behavioral health. I express my sincere appreciation to the Arizona Psychological Foundation and the Dr. Alice Chang Legacy for their generous support in making this professional opportunity possible.”

Claire Hsu, MA (Midwestern University)

"Attending the Asian-American Psychological Association Convention was the most profound experience I have had during my training. Being around others in the field who share similar backgrounds and upbringings allowed me to experience a sense of understanding and belonging that I had never realized I was missing. It felt like coming home. Leaving the AAPA convention, I have a newfound perspective as an Asian-American in psychology and the importance of advocacy about my culture."
