We are accepting nominations for 2026 professional awards!

The awards process is such a meaningful way to recognize and honor those in our field who are doing truly exceptional work. The Foundation hopes you will take a moment to honor someone through nomination who you believe is deserving of such an award; the AzPF awards are:

  • Outstanding Graduate Student
  • Outstanding Postdoctoral Resident
  • Outstanding Early Career Psychologist (must be within 10 years of doctoral graduation)
  • Hal Arkowitz Award for Outstanding Mentor (must be more than 10 years since doctoral graduation)

AzPF award winners will be formally recognized and presented with their award at this summer’s Arizona Psychological Association (AzPA) Convention!

To submit a nomination:

  1. Fill out the SURVEY FORM associated with the award category you chose; please be sure your survey responses are comprehensive, as you are a primary source of information.
  2.  Send your completed survey to: Dr. Brittany Brown at b.brown@arizonaforensicpsychology.com
  3.  DEADLINE: June 8, 2026
    • **CVs and surveys will be requested from those who are nominated. Self-nominations are acceptable; if you are self-nominating, please also provide your CV with your survey submission. Re-nominations are also acceptable (i.e., if your nominee was not chosen last year or in prior years, feel free to fill out the attached survey and resubmit for consideration this year!).**

This nomination submission process is primary how AzPF is able to find and recognize professionals across the state for their amazing contributions to our field. AzPF is passionate about a wide-reaching consideration of psychologist, residents, and students across the state; since we primarily learn about folks across the state through your nomination submissions, we ask you to please take a moment to fill out the relevant survey form and send them in!

Each year, we proudly recognize individuals whose professionalism, leadership, and dedication embody the highest standards of our organization. Through these annual professional awards, we honor colleagues who go above and beyond in advancing our mission, supporting their peers, and delivering exceptional results. Their achievements inspire all of us to pursue excellence, build collaboration, and make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.
